America 250! NSDAR Bench Dedication

On November 8, 2025 The Coushatti Trace Chapter, NSDAR dedicated an engraved granite bench in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. The NSDAR bench was donated by Texas Gravestone Company, LLC who designed, built, and installed it. The dedication ceremony took place at the bench location on the veranda of the new Honored Mission Veterans Museum located on the grounds of the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park in Conroe, Texas.
Chapter Regent Jan Cook officiated at the NSDAR Bench Dedication Ceremony which included an invocation by former Chapter Chaplin Cheryl Bolt. As part of the dedication and associated Veteran’s Day activities, Chapter members handed out over 200 flags and presented 100 Veterans with small gift bags which had been assembled at the September Chapter meeting. A similar bench was dedicated by the Texas Society, Sons of the American Revolution – Freedom Chapter. Installations of the two benches and their dedications were coordinated with the Chapter, the Texas Gravestone Company, the Museum, the Park, and the TSSAR by Chapter member Mollie Warthen as part of her New Horizons Capstone Project.
