Two hundred fifty years ago saw the American Colonies drifting into all-out war with Great Britain. American Colonists entered into Canada to encourage their neighbors to revolt against Great Britain.
Fort St. John in Canada surrendered to American Colonists with the help of some Canadian friends. Several Army Battalions were authorized to form in the Carolinas. The ill-prepared Colonists were going forward against the greatest Military Power of their time. This took courage and a desire to be free! Were your ancestors a part of those colonists or perhaps those in Texas and elsewhere supporting those American Colonists?

If you can trace your lineage back to the time of the American Revolution, you and your children can become members of the Sons of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Revolution.
