A new indoor golf space is emerging in North Houston. Birdie Central is in soft opening before its official grand opening on June 20, bringing golf simulators, practice bays and a community-focused space to the Spring/Klein area.
“Coco and I are golfers first—some of my closest friendships came through this game,” Founder Minh Tran said. “We wanted to build the place we wished existed, somewhere people already live and love golf. Spring/Klein was the obvious home for it.”
Why Spring/Klein?
The idea didn’t start with a polished business plan but a recurring gap. When the founders looked across Houston’s northern communities, they noticed there weren’t many indoor golf simulator spaces nearby, even though the sport is booming everywhere else.
“The North Side has some great courses like Woodlands Country Club, Highland Pines, Augusta Pines and Gleannloch Golf Club but not many options for simulators for an already established golfing community,” Tran said.
The community includes players who travel to nearby courses, weekend golfers and beginners who are curious but haven’t played on a course.
They chose North Houston, near Gleannloch, where courses and neighborhoods already revolve around the game. “We’re right around the corner from Gleannloch Pines, so a lot of our neighbors already love golf. You can warm up here before a round or come break down what went wrong after.”
Built for all levels
Birdie Central is built to work for everyone who walks in, from someone picking up a club for the first time to a scratch golfer fine-tuning their swing.
The facility offers open and private bays, giving guests options for how they want to play. Open bays create a social environment, while private bays offer space for focused practice or smaller groups.
“We’ve had people come in who’ve never used a simulator before and others who are very serious about their game, and we wanted it to work for both,” Tran said.
Clubs are available on-site, including right-handed, left-handed and junior sets, allowing first-time visitors to walk in and start playing.
Members also get 24/7 self-service access, so a round doesn’t have to wait for business hours.
The tech behind every swing
Each bay is built around real data, not just a screen. The Uneekor Eye XO2 overhead launch monitor reads every detail of your swing in real time—spin, launch angle, club path — and displays each shot instantly, so you can actually see what to fix.
The visuals come through a BenQ 4K short-throw projector, sharp and shadow-free, with more than 100 world-famous courses to play—including Pebble Beach and St. Andrews.
Alongside traditional course play, the system offers casual, entertainment-style options—including character-themed environments—that give beginners and families a more playful way to experience the game.
Membership options
Birdie Central offers three membership tiers.
Junior is built for younger and developing players. Birdie, the core membership, adds 24/7 self-service access, unlimited off-peak play and a private bay at no extra charge—the everyday golfer’s tier. Eagle is the all-access option, with unlimited play including peak hours and the longest booking window, for players who want to make Birdie Central their home course.

Built for gatherings
Beyond individual play, Birdie Central is also designed for events and group experiences.
The facility can accommodate small outings to larger gatherings, including birthday parties, church groups and corporate events. Open and private bays can be booked together and connected into one shared space, so larger groups stay together—moving between playing, socializing and spectating without feeling crowded.

As the soft opening continues, the official milestone is still ahead with the grand opening on June 20 at Birdie Central.
