Conroe Noon Lions: Hear the Lions roar. $250,000 given, 15,000 service hours and more

The Conroe Noon Lions Club closed its 2025–26 fiscal year with expanded community programs, new partnerships, and more than $250,000 donated throughout the community, including over $100,000 to Lone Star Family Health Center, continuing its long tradition of service across Montgomery County.

During the club’s July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, service year, members contributed 15,000 total community service hours through monthly Service Saturdays and numerous additional volunteer projects, demonstrating the club’s commitment to improving lives through hands-on service.
The club also donated more than $250,000 to support local, state, and international nonprofit organizations, including $24,500 to the Texas Lions Camp, supporting summer programs for physically challenged and diabetic children, $15,000 to the Eyeglass Program providing eye exams and eyeglasses to those in need, and $36,000 in Scholarship funds for local high school seniors. Plus, our biggest commitment to date a $100,000 partnership with Lone Star Family Health Center for a new Vision Center.

Outgoing President Tracy Irvine reflected on the year’s accomplishments during the club’s annual leadership transition, crediting the organization’s success to the dedication of its members and volunteer leaders.

“No president accomplishes anything alone,” she said. “We have had a strong and successful year because of the dedicated Lions who consistently show up to volunteer and serve at our many activities.”

Among the year’s accomplishments, the Conroe Noon Lions Club continued the growth of its Leo Club youth leadership program, expanded support for Reaves Elementary School, increased scholarship awards for deserving students, served more children through the ‘kids on the lake’ – fishing tournament, and provided more eyeglasses to individuals in need.

The club also responded to regional disasters by contributing to Kerrville flood relief efforts and the Lions District Disaster Relief Program while strengthening its fundraising efforts through its Community Partner Program. New partnerships with SOAR Academy and Lone Star Health further expanded the club’s ability to serve the community.

The outgoing president said the year’s theme, “Take It to the Next Level,” challenged members to build upon an already strong foundation of service.
“Looking back at what we’ve accomplished together, I believe we did exactly that,” she said. “We took it to the next level.”
The Conroe Noon Lions Club is one of the area’s longest-serving civic organizations, with members volunteering throughout the year to support vision programs, youth initiatives, scholarships, disaster relief, and numerous local nonprofits. The club meets weekly and welcomes individuals interested in serving the Conroe community.

As new officers assume leadership for the coming year, club members say they are committed to building on the momentum created over the past 12 months while continuing the Lions’ mission of serving others.
