The Conroe Noon Lions Club has enjoyed a very busy and festive week as members wrapped up the year with service, fellowship, and holiday cheer. The week began with Lions delivering gifts from our annual “Christmas Wish” program for children at Reaves Elementary School. Through this program, the club adopted students in need and provided them with care gifts to help make their holiday season brighter.
Club members also gathered for their end of the year weekly meeting, which served as our annual Christmas Social. This special meeting allowed members to celebrate the season together, reflect on a successful year of community service, and enjoy fellowship with one another in the true spirit of Christmas. The gathering included sharing holiday treats, reindeer games, exchanging warm wishes, and a short performance from the Players Theater Group “A Christmas Carol” the musical.
Continuing a long-standing holiday tradition, club members assembled and delivered our annual Christmas Baskets to shut-ins and the elderly in need throughout the Conroe area. These baskets were thoughtfully prepared and included essential food items, holiday treats, and other necessities. For many recipients, the visit from Lions members was just as meaningful as the contents of the basket, bringing companionship, encouragement, and a reminder that they are not forgotten during the holiday season. This yearly effort has become a cherished tradition that reflects the generosity and compassion of the Conroe Noon Lions Club.
In addition, the Conroe Noon Lions Club proudly hosted the annual Jingle Bell Bash at Reaves Elementary School this week. The event brought excitement and smiles to students as “Santa” and his elves hand out goodies and trinkets. Events like the Jingle Bell Bash highlight the club’s dedication to creating positive, lasting experiences for the youngsters at our adopted school.
As we conclude our activities for the year, the Conroe Noon Lions Club will not meet again until after the New Year. Our next regular meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 7. Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be an exciting year with even more opportunities to serve, including scholarship programs for local students, community blood drives, and our popular Dinner/Dance & Auction. The club is committed to continuing its tradition of service, fellowship, and making a meaningful impact in the Conroe area.
