The Coushatti Trace Chapter, from the Daughters of the American Revolution, expanded its Literacy outreach in 2025-2026, building on the success of the previous year by expanding the program into a second Title I campus, Creekside Elementary in Montgomery ISD. The program was founded by Literacy Chair Cathy Alexander and its recent expansion was led by member Linda Prince who enthusiastically took on leadership at the new school. In February, the group read books related to the upcoming Houston Rodeo to the Kindergarten Class. Pictured are Cathy Alexander, Laura Walton, Chapter Regent Jan Cook, Lori Ling and Linda Prince.
