On January 7th., 2026 the “Montgomery County Republican Voters” welcomed Mike Holley to a packed house with lunch served. Mr. Holley was appointed District Attorney for the 9th. Judicial District in Montgomery County Texas by Governor Greg Abbott. While Mike was the Guest Speaker, the meeting was packed with Precinct chairman and women from all over Montgomery, County who voted to CENSURE Will Metcalf for being a “Traitor” to the Republican Party in Austin, Texas.
Mike Holley spoke to “How Conservative Principles Inform Prosecution”. A fan of Author C. S. Lewis and Thomas Sowell he detailed the conservative approach to how Montgomery County prosecutions are handled. Quoting Sowell he said “If You Care About People, You Tell Them The Truth. If You Care About Yourself, You Tell People What They Want To Hear”. Mr. Holley leads
an office of approximately 130 prosecutors, investigators, and professional staff dedicated to public safety, justice, and the rule of law. A career prosecutor and former U.S. Army officer, he brings more than 25 years of experience in the courtroom and in organizational leadership across military, private, and state practice. District Attorney Mike Holley served thirteen years on active duty in the United States Army. He began his military career as a Military Police Platoon Leader with the 1st Cavalry Division and later served as a Judge Advocate. His assignments included Trial Counsel, Senior Defense Counsel, Professor of Criminal Law at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, and Chief Prosecutor for the Abu Ghraib detainee-abuse cases in Baghdad, Iraq. He concluded his
active-duty service with the rank of Major. Holley practiced complex civil litigation at The Lanier Law Firm before returning to public service as a Texas prosecutor. He has served as a felony prosecutor, Chief of the Misdemeanor Division, and First Assistant District Attorney. He also helped establish the Montgomery County Veterans Treatment Court and remains actively involved in veteran-focused programming. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law where he graduated summa cum laude, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif, and received the Fortney Award for Ethics and the Judge Meade F. Griffin Award—and holds a Bachelor of Science from Abilene Christian University, summa cum laude.
Mike’s address to the group, including the elected official Montgomery County Republican Precinct Chairs did not fall on deaf ears. He was addressing the group that has expressed serious concerns about the allegations that Mr. Metcalf is actually a Democrat that has been running as a Republican in Montgomery, County Texas for years. Mr. Metcalf has been accused of misleading 5 different Montgomery County Republican women’s groups for years with conservative speeches while going to Austin and promoting the Democrats agenda. “If You Care About Yourself, You Tell People What They Want To Hear” has worked well for Mr. Metcalf. One such group, the “North Shore Republican Women”, group has been hijacked by Will Metcalf and his propaganda. They are known for providing money and support, defending Mr. Metcalf and his voting record, which includes him voting to give California $1.5 BILLION DOLLARS of Texas tax payer money for the California movie industry under SB 22 which he voted for. Now The North Shore Republican Women, who ironically was meeting in Bentwater at another location while the Montgomery County Republican Voters were meeting, appears to be a biased mouthpiece for Will Metcalf, including staff from his own office known for regular attendance. The “North Shore Republican Women” organization has morphed into the biased organization it is today.
Led by a California transplant, it is rapidly becoming known for its bias and failure to promote all conservative Christian candidates with real Republican conservative values. Suppression of free speech and being part of the “California Cancel Culture” is nothing new for this organization. Initially founded to promote an unbiased platform for all genuine conservative voices of Republican Candidates to be heard, the women have lost there way and lean toward a few select candidates most of whom promote propaganda from Will Metcalf and his staff. Debates are a joke. They don’t have them. After a riveting speech from Mr. Holley and a lively meeting thereafter, the Conservative Christian Women and Men’s voices that the North Shore Women’s Group also known as a “Mouthpiece for Metcalf” were finally heard. Growing in numbers the “Montgomery County Republican Voters” are looking forward to their next meeting.
