“The Friends of the Flag Foundation” under the leadership of President MIKE WILSON (in color Grey) on behalf of his FOFF Board, received this Check Donation from Rebel Joan Of Arc President JENNY LEHR, and her RJOA attendees for this presentation. Travelers from the Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Chapter of the United Daughters were welcomed by President WILSON, and Thanked for their constant support of this beloved Park and it’s representation of the Texas Historical Battle Flags for Texas Independence. This small honored park on the Hill with the Texian Statue is over 20 years old, and the first in this area! It is next to the Conroe Main Library along I-45 in Conroe.
This special small Park on the hill is separate in purpose from the Veterans Memorial Park next to it, and with separate Boards of Management.. Our Texas History is displayed and honored here in the various BattleFlags for Texas Independence. The FOFF Board has many various projects to promote and educate the public in our Texas roots and fight for Independence, and the Rebel Joan Of Arc Belles have been great participators in these projects.
Many ladies in this photo are also members of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, as well as Board Members for the Friends of the Flag Foundation, and ALL are members of the Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Chapter! The Handsome handlebar mustache gentleman standing in Black is BERNIE SARGENT, who serves as FOFF Flag Master, and also serves on the Montgomery County Historical Commission, and The Texas State Historical Foundation. The two Gentlemen seated are Past FOFF President MIKE WILSON and Newley elected FOFF President RON McANEAR.
Both gentlemen are Sons of the Republic of Texas Members under their Lone Star Chapter in The Woodlands! President MIKE WILSON is the Newley elected National President for the SRT, and beside him with a glowing face is RON McANEAR who was also just accepted and “Knighted” into the “Knights of San Jacinto”.
~TEXAS HISTORY RUNS DEEP INTO THE VEINS OF ALL PRESENT HERE, AND FOR THE REBEL JOAN OF ARC CHAPTER MEMBERS HERE AS WELL. ~
