Stella’s Fresh Brunch opens second location
Menu items include an assortment of pancakes, such as buttermilk, lemon blueberry ricotta and cinnamon roll. Other options include Dubai chocolate croffles, mixed berry waffles, French toast and berry bread pudding.
The brunch restaurant serves mocktails, including strawberry lemon spritz and orange sunburst, according to its menu.
Fortune Eight opens its doors on Washington Avenue
Cooked to order and crafted with real ingredients, Fortune Eight’s wok-fired entrees range from kung pao chicken and walnut shrimp to featured menu items like its baby bok choy and shitake.
The menu also includes appetizers such as spring rolls, spicy wontons and fortune fries. Milk, fruit and Thai teas are also available for purchase.
Desi District now offering Indian cuisine, groceries in Cypress
Desi District will feature the Desi Eatery, which offers a variety of Indian cuisine, such as chaat, tandoori and hot curries prepared daily.
The grocery area will include a variety of spices and staples as well as a halal butcher station.
Bad Buns now offering smash burgers in Katy
The restaurant—which also operates a location in Sugar Land—offers smash burgers, fries and shakes, per its website.
Known for its late hours, the Katy location closes at 11 p.m. on weekdays and midnight on weekends.
Pho 77 now serving Vietnamese cuisine in Cypress area
The full service restaurant offers Vietnamese staples including pho, banh mi, rice noodles and boba by owners Nykhol Phan and John Vu, who also manage Biff’s Banh Mi & Pho.

Goode Company Seafood celebrates 40th anniversary in the Houston area
The classic seafood restaurant has served Houston residents fresh catches daily for the last four decades and has since opened a second location off the Katy Freeway, officials said.
To commemorate this milestone, both locations of the eatery are offering summerlong specials through Sept. 30 where guests can enjoy throwback pricing from the original menu, daily happy hours, limited edition food items inspired by the company’s history and 40% off wine bottles every Wednesday, according to a June 8 news release.
“It’s been my family’s honor to serve the people of Houston for the last 40 years at Goode Co. Seafood,” said Levi Goode, the president and chef of the eatery. “The Gulf Coast has been an important part of my family’s history, and I’m grateful for each and every guest, as well as all of the purveyors we have relationships with, that have allowed us to make it this far.”
