
Gabriel Sam Kabak, who specialized in adult sex crimes, was arrested for allegedly strangling a family member.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — An assistant Harris County district attorney has been arrested for allegedly strangling a family member in Montgomery County on Sunday.
Gabriel Sam Kabak, 32, is charged with Assault/Family Violence-Impede Breathing/Circulation (Strangulation).
Panorama Village Police Department said in a Facebook post that Kabak was taken into custody at around 8 p.m. on Sunday. He was transported to Montgomery County Jail.
The identity of the family member was not revealed.
According to an organizational chart from the Harris County DA’s office, Kabak specialized in adult sex crimes under the special victims bureau. He received his Texas State Bar license in 2022.
In a statement to KHOU 11, a spokesperson stated that Kabak is no longer employed with the Harris County DA’s office as of Monday. They declined to comment further on the matter.
