The $70 million, four-story building will house four academic programs, including a Master of Science in athletic training and dietetics, which will move from the Huntsville campus. Two new graduate programs — physician assistant and physical therapy — are expected to launch in fall 2026 and 2027, according to Ryan Zapalac, dean of Sam Houston’s College of Health Sciences.
“The nice thing about the Conroe campus for the Health Professions Building is that it’s 35 minutes south of Huntsville and then just about 10 minutes more to The Woodlands campus,” Zapalac said.
