Firefighters from multiple agencies raced against intense flames late Saturday night, battling a fast-moving fire at an assisted living home in Montgomery County.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — A late-night structure fire brought a heavy emergency response to a quiet neighborhood on Moonlight Trail near Shenandoah, where firefighters from multiple agencies worked quickly to contain flames tearing through an assisted-living home.
The fire was reported just after 10 p.m. Saturday along Moonlight Trail north of 1488, prompting a mutual aid response led by the Magnolia Fire Department.
When crews arrived, they were met with intense conditions. Firefighters reported heavy flames coming through the roof of the home, signaling a well-advanced fire.
Engine 64 was among the first units on scene and immediately began aggressive suppression efforts. Additional crews, including those from Needham Fire & Rescue, The Woodlands Fire Department, Conroe Fire Department and the Montgomery County Hospital District, joined the response.
Firefighters worked for just under an hour to bring the blaze under control.
Water supply proved critical during the operation, with multiple tanker units deployed to ensure a steady flow as crews battled the flames.
Despite the intensity of the fire, officials said no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office.
