Montgomery-based artist Payton Riley is stepping into a bold new chapter with the release of her latest single, “Rainmaker,” and an upcoming hometown full band show at The Table at Madeley this Saturday.
“Rainmaker,” released April 10, introduces a stronger, more rock-driven sound while still holding onto the honest storytelling that has defined Payton’s music. The track delivers a powerful message about self-worth and walking away from anything that dims your light, marking what she calls her most authentic work yet.
Over the past several months, Payton has been writing, recording, and building a completely new live show that reflects this evolution. Blending pop rock energy with country grit, her new set is described as “100% me,” offering fans a fresh and elevated experience.
“I’ve grown so much as an artist and as a person,” says Payton. “These songs are honest, bold, and say exactly what I’ve been wanting to say. I can’t wait for people to hear them and feel seen in them.”
She will debut this new era live at her Saturday hometown show at The Table at Madeley in Conroe. After previously selling out the venue, Payton returns with a reimagined full band performance, new music, and special surprises planned for the night.
Payton Riley continues to build momentum with notable achievements including two-time Texas Country Music Association Young Artist of the Year (2023, 2024), 2024 Josie Award winner, and 2025 Songwriter of the Year through the Texas State Songwriters Association. She is also the 2025 Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival Youth Competition winner, a finalist in the U.S.A. Songwriting Competition for her song “Ink,” and a 2026 finalist for New Female Vocalist of the Year at the Texas Regional Radio & Music Awards. She gained national recognition as a contestant on Season 22 of American Idol.
