Anthony & Luca’s Pizza Kitchen opens first Texas shop in Cy-Fair
Anthony & Luca’s Pizza Kitchen officials said the pizzeria opened at the end of May and is now serving New York-style pizzas, Philly cheesesteaks and Italian street food. Per the website, Anthony & Luca’s Pizza serves a variety of specialty pizzas, including the Margherita Pizza, Philly Cheesesteak Pizza and Hawaiian Pineapple BBQ Chicken.
Common Bond Coffee and Bakery now open in Spring
According to a June 18 news release, the newest Common Bond location combined the brand’s to-go concept with its bistro and bakery options to offer both on-the-go and dine-in options. The Spring location will include the eatery’s full menu, including soups, sandwiches and pastries.
The Dumpling Zone opens at Metropark Square
The Dumpling Zone welcomed guests for the first time at its grand opening June 3, Manager Sophie Wang confirmed. The eatery is located east of I-45 and is known for its popular dumpling and hibachi entrees.
Peruvian restaurant Urban Brasa now open in Katy
Peruvian restaurant Urban Brasa has opened its doors in Katy, co-owner Marco Rivera confirmed.
The restaurant—which uses charcoal to slow roast its rotisserie chicken—offers chicken in a range of sizes from a 1/4 chicken all the way to a whole one, according to its website.
Wonder Pops opens first permanent location in the Heights
Wonder Pops opened its new service window and patio space June 3, founder Karla Rosa Garcia confirmed. The fruit popsicle shop is based in the Heights and vends at farmers’ markets and private events throughout Houston.

Gangnam BBQ & Sushi serves all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue, sushi
Manager Jay Kwon said when local Korean barbecue enthusiasts craved sizzling meats grilled tableside, they often had to travel outside the community to find it.
In August 2025, Kwon said that ended with Gangnam BBQ & Sushi, an all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue eatery founded to fill the gap in Korean barbecue. The aroma of marinated meats sizzling over tabletop grills and fresh sushi rolls arriving at the table fill the lively atmosphere. Unlike the typical Korean barbecue experience, Kwon said diners at Gangnam BBQ & Sushi can get both all-you-can-eat barbecue and sushi.
