The Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter gathered to celebrate their new UDC “Kick Off Year”, at the 1st week opening of the new Kevin Bready Center, South County Community Library Center, The Woodlands. The magnificent new structure was the perfect
“Kick- Off” for these Rebel Spirited Southern Beauties! Dawned in their Rebel RED, and
Red Pom-Poms galore, they gathered to celebrate each other and all the exciting plans they have for this next year. Many exciting things happened at their meeting from personal “gifties” to all here and there, many drawings for lovely prizes brought, new member being honored, scholarships planned for, the beautiful UDC Pins and Ribbons “show and tell”, yearly Veterans plans in full swing and “Socks for Soldiers” collected, Birthday Stars of the Month, Thank You notes read to the Chapter, End of the Year Reports given and ALL their successes, Pre-Orders for “Texas Convention Attendee Pin & Bar” handed out, donations brought and turned in to the Chairman of the RJOA Sales Table at Convention, an exciting new committee formed for the RJOA Confederate Monument/Marker Project, next years new calendar passed out with all the exciting plans for RJOA, the “RJOA Spirit Bear” presentation, and last but not least: Speaker/Program by SCV Andrew Petty, on Flags of our Fathers.
The meeting was concluded as begun in Prayer, and the encirclement of the embrace and singing of “Dixieland” filled everyone’s hearts for departure.
What a Grand Group of Southern Ladies who do so much for their community, and all while celebrating each other and their Family Roots.
MORE…,,, YES and MORE: Then “RJOA Lunch Bunch” was the final dessert of the day, and those ladies were completely lost in “time”…
