The United Daughters of the Confederacy has recently recognized a special new “Legacy Applications Form” to enable the current members of the United Daughters of the Confederacy to be able to recognize Members of their Family on “Proved Accepted Family Lines”. What a lovely way you continue to pay Honor to those in your Family who came before you. The “Legacy Membership Application” states that: “A Legacy Member shall be a deceased female, proven in the lineage on an Approved UDC Original Membership or Supplemental Membership application”.
The Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Registrar: MARY LEE MALEK has produced three new “Legacy Applications” for two of her members with their approvals to honor their female family heritage.
* RJOA ANITA THORNE STEVENS applied for the “Legacy Membership” for her maternal grandmother, Crystal Hattie Reeves Hoyt, a descendant of Joseph Harris Reeves, Company C, Wingfield’s 3rd Regiment, of Mississippi.
* ANITA STEVENS also applied for the “Legacy Membership” for her paternal grandmother Lucy Williams Thorne, a descendant of Martin D. Williams, Company E, 7th Regiment, Texas.
* RJOA JENNY RATLIFF LEHR applied for the “Legacy Membership” for her paternal grandmother, Tommie (Laverne) Fitzgerald Ratliff, a descendant of Francis “Frank” S. Fitzgerald, Company E, 22nd Regiment (Hubbard’s Battalion), Texas.
How exciting for these two Rebel Joan Of Arc members, and their Registrar!
A “Good Registrar” is the Life-Blood of any Genealogy Lineage Chapter and held in high-esteem in her Chapter.
RJOA salutes MARY LEE MALEK for her devotion and unselfish dedication to her invaluable position as “Registrar” of the Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter.
