Rotary Clubs are getting into the fund-raising mode. Maybe, it should be called a FUN-raiser since these events are oriented at having fun while the events are low priced! The Rotary Club of Lake Conroe is hosting a full month of fun with its “Wine and Beer Tour” during the month of March. A coupon book is sold for $50 per adult to raise funds for the numerous “good works” provided by “the little Club that can and does..”

Ambassador Mike Berger from the Rotary Club of Conroe encourages you to gather a group of friends and hire a driver to provide safe access while visiting these breweries and wineries. This is a fun opportunity to make lots of memories while helping to raise money for the charitable activities of the Rotary Club of Lake Conroe. While visiting these local wineries and breweries, enhance your trip by purchasing additional tastings along with beers and bottles of boutique wines that you would not find in the stores. Check out the local music events and festival held at these ten fun businesses. The weather should be outstanding so make time with your friends to visit. Please know that you will also be contributing to the charitable activities of RCLC, having provided over $420,000 to local and international efforts to make our world a better place to live.
The Rotary Club of Conroe is continuing its tradition of their Annual Pancake Supper. Rotarians will be out selling tickets for $25 for Adults and $10 for youth 12 and under for the Pancake Supper to be held on Thursday, April 23rd. The event will be held at Honor Café which is a restaurant within a military museum in historic downtown Conroe. This family-oriented event raises funds that the Rotary Club of Conroe uses to support its youth programs, including its scholarship programs at two local high schools. This fun event is not your typical fund raiser and should include face painting for the kids and optional for adults. Celebrity waiters will add to the festive fun. I enjoy the competitiveness of those silent auctions where you can find that something you always wanted. That Thursday evening pancake supper is the perfect agenda for your school age kids to have fun with Mom and Dad while getting a unique evening meal to support the youth of our community. Besides, no one has to clean up the kitchen after the meal! It is a WIN – WIN situation!
