Funds raised at this event will be used by the Rotary Club of Conroe for its youth Projects in the Conroe Community.

Frank Parker with the Rotary Club of Magnolia told me, “We will be having a Car Show on May 9 at the Magnolia Unity Park.  Hours will be from 9am to 2pm.  Funds raised will go toward our community and international projects.  Up first will be packing another 10,000 [or more] meals for our local Society of Samaritans [SOS].  A duplicate of last year’s project.

In addition, we just finished building a storage shed for the Raj Hope Foundation Academy.  Last year we built a playground for the Isaiah 117 House & we will be picking another project soon.
We also are supporting Rotary International’s End Polio campaign.  When this program started in the late 1980s there were 350,000 infantile paralyses [Polio] cases worldwide.  Last year there were less than 25 & they were confined to Afghanistan & Pakistan.  Help us get to ZERO!”

Deitra Johnson with the Rotary Club of Conroe outlined their recent meeting. She said, “The Rotary Club of East Montgomery County welcomed guest speaker Nicole Cook on Tuesday, April 7, where she shared an inside look at the impact and mission of City Lifestyle Magazine.

Cook explained that City Lifestyle Magazine is a community-focused publication that connects residents with the people, places, and businesses that make their city unique. With an emphasis on positivity, the magazine highlights locally owned businesses, inspiring individuals, and the distinct character that defines each community it serves. Whether new to the area or a longtime resident, the publication serves as a trusted community hub.
She also shared the brand’s impressive national reach, noting that City Lifestyle Magazine is the #1 city-based publication in the United States, reaching over 6 million readers nationwide. With more than 240 magazines across 38 states and a top-three national circulation ranking, the publication blends national scale with a strong local focus.

In addition to storytelling and connection, Cook highlighted the organization’s philanthropic efforts through its partnership with the Kingdom Building Foundation. Together, they have provided direct financial support to families in need, donating more than $5 million in 2025 alone, with impact growing each year.”
