The Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Chapter of The Woodlands, of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, was welcomed to the Home of Hostess MARY LEE MALEK, in Spring, Texas. A brief meeting was held by President JENNY LEHR, and eight November Birthdays of RJOA Members were celebrated: TAYLOR LEHR, JANET THOMASON, LOUANN RUBEL, ANNA GREATHOUSE, PAIGE LEHR-WINNINGHAM, SHELIA WILLIAMSON, ELAINE COLLINGS, and HILARIE HICKS.
Charter Members present were ROSELANE POLNICK, LYN HOWARD, and ELAINE COLLINGS. Two prospective members for Rebel Joan Of Arc to consider were invited and present as a first step, JAN BEDNAR: Sponsored by ELAINE COLLINGS, and LYN GREY: Sponsored by DARLA SHARER. Pledges, Rituals, and All Officers and Chairmen Reports were read. The Singing Texas Our Texas, and Dixie, was done with all joining hands. You can catch a glimpse of the United Daughters of the Confederacy Flags, and our Confederate Heroine: Belle Boyd on the Fire Place mantel behind President LEHR.
The most heartwarming moments came when each person present either gave their personal Thanks for something, or said a heart-felt Prayer for someone in need. It was a true circle of love. There were many chuckles and giggles, along with some tears and hugs. The RJOA Members always surprise us with their abundant beautiful display of a lovely “Feast” they bring for sharing! It’s All served so beautifully…
Happy are these Special Memories of the annual Rebel Joan Of Arc “Blessings and Welcoming Tea/Meetings”, and sweet individual appreciations of flowers, and other Hostess gifts were given to MARY LEE MALEK, whom ALL Toasted with Champagne and Mimosas!
