HOUSTON MEDICAL CENTER (March 2nd) — Having been in the hospital since February 19th, this past weekend, I was just getting back able to walk with 90% confidence in my gait. My usual route to the ER is via bowel obstructions, which are usually resolved quickly, but Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) presented itself. DKA is a serious life-threatening issue, caused by a severe insulin deficiency. My urine output at the time, essentially evacuating fat cells, equaled 2.5 to 3K cc’s daily, or about 8 pounds per day, and although I like losing weight, seeing it done through DKA I certainly wouldn’t recommend. My chills were the worst since my cancer 28 years ago. And with all that, the doctors determined that my gallbladder was inflamed and needs to be removed, which I’ll just add to the list of body parts already removed. As of now, I’m going to be released from the hospital and return in a few weeks to the hospital to begin the surgery process. Besides, my pincushion arms need a chance to rebound.
As I am a night owl in the hospital, I was awake when the first news of the U.S. and Israeli strikes hit the headlines early on the 28th. I had a growing feeling that as February progressed, that the ending timeframe of Operation Desert Storm, the 1991 First Gulf War, February 24th, my 25th birthday, to 28th, could possibly intertwine with the launch of Operation Epic Fury, and it did. I get these premonitions, like when the Desert Storm air war started in January 1991, and I had a strong feeling about this conflict.
President Donald Trump’s opening move, a great gift to The World, when Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his team, probably over a skillet breakfast of Makhlama, a savory dish of eggs and tomatoes; met their end when their arrogance thought themselves safe from Allied bombs dropped in a General Eisenhower D-Dayish move, doing the opposite of what The Iranian leaders expected. The decapitation of the leaders was brilliant, and if you don’t like it, well, I don’t care. Cancers (and gallbladders) need to be cut-out, and you don’t play mister nice guy when dealing with an oppressive regime, especially one that has killed upwards of 40,000 of its own people since January. Of course that is not generally reported amongst the CBS/CNN lot, whose narrative is to shed a bad light over Trump’s leadership. For the liberal media, it is another continuous loss to their credibility. Even the American Persians who are Democrats, once invited on CNN, find Trump’s policies against the old regime generally positive. Liberal networks are telling their reporters to avoid crowds who display the Lion and Sun Flag of Reza Pahlavi, which if displayed in Iran is an automatic death sentence for the bearer.
I soon thought of Desert Storm after Trump’s announcement, plus all the years in-between in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other areas around the Persian Gulf in which American Service Members were killed. What President George H.W. Bush started in 1990-1991, President Trump will finish in 2025-2026. And it’s incredible how weak U.S. Presidents Clinton, Obama, and Biden, gave the Iranian regime, a path to nuclear technology, pallets of cash (for captured American Service Members), and unfroze assets giving billions of dollars to an aggressive regime, yet, were not held accountable for their negative contributions to the Iranian aggressors success in their evil capabilities.
I know that President Trump ran for office on a policy of not sending American Troops into foreign wars, which is a noble endeavor, but situations change, and his aim for World Peace, for stopping conflicts across The World; for creating dialogues for peace. I like the Trump Big Stick attitude, which creates a righteous position for peace, and the economic benefits, which have yet to be calculated, will return so much investment funds to Iran from the Diaspora across The World, and quite possibly, more than likely in fact, will result in a reimigration of a percentage of those Iranian citizens driven out by the mullahs and student radicals in 1979. In 2026, students are interested in Western ideals, the complete opposite; a result of the Iran-Iraq war of 1980-1988, which eliminated many young men from their influence over the next generation, seeing as it’s kinda hard to constantly radicalize the next generation if you are dead.
Detractors of Trump will complain of the attack on the Iranian regime during peace talks as a foul, but looking at how the Iranian regime’s ability to drag out talks, to continue the process yielding the same rhetoric over and over that Iran would not yield its nuclear aspirations. Sorry, end the talks. No nuke program, definitely not managed amongst radicals. Trump’s political will is a major influence in putting together a coalition to counter the Iranian radicals, and the promise of economic progress, by a safe passage of the Strait of Hormuz without having to cross in fear, is a big factor in a successful world economy.
The feeling around how the war will progress, well, after a period of maybe one month or two, hopefully the hostilities will have ceased. But that should not end the American commitment to the keeping of the peace. President Bush’s dilemma after Operation Desert Storm, by allowing Saddam Hussein to remain in power, only invited the second excursion into Iraq, and continued mideast unease. For the Iranian people it’s an 80-20 issue with only about 10% of the people supporting the old regime. As far as any insurgency is concerned, there is a possibility for it, but those who wish for a free country overpower those who want an oppressive regime. I don’t doubt there will be incidents, but as to the campaign launched by insurgents in Iraq following President George H. Bush’s war, there will be a reduced amount of support for the enterprise.
A few things that I’ve noticed in regards to Chinese and Russian made anti-air capabilities are, where is it? The only losses of American aircraft have been friendly fire instances, an issue that will be solved pretty quickly I’m getting from my contacts. It’s an issue that is really not being talked about, primarily because American liberal networks don’t want to boost Trump’s image, nor the American Service Member, and of course not point out the superior training and equipment that the Americans possess.
Then there is frustration from all Democrats, and even some Republicans, those professional idiots with multiple degrees and not a lick of common sense, seeing they view the U.S. and Israel as the aggressors. I find them mad, and probably constipated. I mean, what would you rather have, a free and Democratic Iran, or one with a radical leadership with an itchy nuclear trigger finger? While I was in the hospital, the nurses would come to me wanting an understanding of what was going on with the war, and it took a little while to explain, but they got it.
I found that the ones that are not supportive of regime change in Iran also have a hatred for Israel, and the U.S., and I’ve come to find out they are woefully uneducated in the happenings of the Middle East, whether they limit their sources of information by relying on one source who more than likely is flawed, and how the Sykes-Picot Agreement of 1916 is relevant to Iranian borders today, it’s missing the point that the Western powers want a free Iran, but don’t want to carve the Mideast up like they did 110 years ago. I’m willing to discuss the issue with anyone, but if you are going to express anything to me, then please have common sense about your rhetoric, and if you raise your voice at any point during the conservation, you’ve lost. I don’t have enough energy to raise my voice, it’s just not my style.
And lastly, I want to pay homage to the American Service Members who have been killed or wounded in the Middle East. It is always a sad occasion to Remember Their Service, knowing their families will no longer be able to interact with them. I know that many of us who served in Iraq or Afghanistan know exactly what is going on in the minds of The Troops currently serving in or near Persian waters, but it was time to pop that 47 year old mullahian pimple, Iran’s pustuled picture of Dorian Gray that needed to be destroyed. The conflict will be remembered as one that gave Free and Fair Election to an oppressive peoples, as well as markets welcomed by the West and East, and a strait that is a true channel of commerce, not being held hostage by an aggressive Iran. To argue against that, boggles the mind.
Patience is gonna be needed to allow the process to play out. Following the cessation of hostilities, military positions can be relaxed to allow for the rotation of carrier battle groups, to let those sailors go home and be with their families, and in many cases to see their newborn children with their own eyes for the first time. This is a liquid situation, and things will constantly change, hopefully for the better, but with President Trump’s oversight, I’m of the belief that free and fair elections can happen as soon as late next year. I’m praying for all American troops, and the safety of their families, as well as the leadership, whose turn is up in their Defense of American Freedom.
