TVC Excellence in Media Awards Nominations Open

Recognizing outstanding reporting on veteran services and issues

AUSTIN,
TX – The Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) annual Excellence in Media
Awards are open for nominations through Jan. 8, 2026. The awards
recognize exemplary research, reporting, storytelling, coverage, and
production by news media professionals whose work brings critical
attention to veteran issues and services. Nominations will be accepted
now through Jan. 8, 2026 for work produced, broadcast, printed or
published between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025.

Members
of the news media may nominate their own or a colleague’s story
featuring veterans topics. Nominations may be submitted online via the
TVC web page https://tvc.texas.gov/about/media-awards/. Award criteria and submission guidelines for nominations are available on the site.

Awards
will be presented by TVC to news media selected as winners in their
category. Additionally, winning stories will be recognized on TVC’s
social media channels, agency website, and included in the statewide TVC
E-Vets newsletter which reaches more than 143,000 subscribers.
