Conroe ISD seniors will be receiving their diplomas at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and the Ark Church during ceremonies May 15-21. Here is everything you need to know about the ceremonies.

Ceremonies at Cynthia Woods Pavilion, 2005 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands:

  • Oak Ridge High School: May 15, 7:30 p.m.
  • Caney Creek High School: May 17, 7:30 p.m.
  • Conroe High School: May 18, 7:30 p.m.
  • The Woodlands College Park High School: May 19, 7:30 p.m.
  • The Woodlands High School: May 20, 7:30 p.m.
  • Grand Oaks High School: May 21, 7:30 p.m

Ceremony at The Ark Church, 450 Humble Tank Road, Conroe:

  • Washington High School: May 16, 10 a.m.

What parents should know

The graduation ceremonies at the pavilion include both free and paid parking, according to its website. On-site parking at the Town Center Parking Garage will be $20; the pavilion is a cashless venue, so attendees will pay via QR code or credit card. Free parking is available in patrolled lots located off Timberloch Place, within walking distance of the ceremony.

CISD schools will distribute tickets for reserved seating at the graduation ceremony; lawn seating is general admission and free for all attendees, according to the pavilion’s website. All CISD schools will also provide a live stream for any parents or relatives unable to attend in person.

Keep in mind

The pavilion operates with a clear bag policy; clear bags 12-by-12 inches or smaller will be permitted, along with nonclear clutches that are 4.5-by-6.5 inches or smaller. Medical, diaper and pumping bags are permitted; however, they will be searched at the entrance, according to the website. No re-entry is allowed once attendees enter through the gates.

Alongside the clear bag policy, the pavilion also has a list of permitted and prohibited items for the area.

A noncomprehensive list of items allowed in the pavilion includes:

  • Nondetachable lens cameras
  • Signs 8.5-by-11 inches or smaller
  • Small blankets or tarps
  • Small umbrellas
  • Rain jackets
  • Most wearable neck fans and small handheld fans

Items prohibited for attendees in the pavilion include, but are not limited to:

  • Clothing items that do not provide adequate coverage and/or opacity
  • Nonservice animals
  • Weapons
  • Aerosol cans
  • Beverages
  • Blowhorns or noisemakers
  • Balloons
  • Camera bags
  • Tents or sun shades
  • Large umbrellas
