As members of various Republican Women’s Clubs, one of our core missions is to inform and educate voters.
Every vote matters, and we are committed to protecting each voter’s right to choose and support the Republican candidate of their choice.
Our organizations supports all Republican candidates. We do not selectively pick and choose among them.
Recent actions within the county party, however, raise serious concerns about fairness and transparency in our local Republican process.
The party’s attorney attempted to keep the Republican Women out of party headquarters, a move that has alienated long-standing grassroots volunteers who have worked tirelessly to support Republican candidates for
decades. Although members are allowed into the headquarters, the environment remains “unwelcoming”.
There are growing concerns that certain candidates are being favored over others. Some Republican candidates have reportedly been denied access to campaign materials and resources from party headquarters, while others appear to receive preferential treatment. Additionally, actions taken by the majority, though not all, of the County Executive Committee (CEC), which includes the Republican Precinct Chairs and the GOP chair seem to elevate party leadership votes above those of grassroots Republicans—effectively creating a “super delegate” system.
These actions should sound familiar and definitely not in a good way. They reflect tactics commonly associated with the Democratic Party, not the Republican Party, which has long stood for fair, free, and open elections. Republican party organizations exist to serve voters and uphold a level playing field—not to influence outcomes by favoring some candidates while sidelining others. When grassroots voices are marginalized and internal processes resemble top-down control, voter trust is undermined and party unity suffers. Republican unity has never been more important, as we head into the 2026 midterm elections.
All Republicans must support the free and fair election process.
