Here’s an updated version of your review:We stopped by Conroe Lake House Restaurant on a Thursday night to try their weekly special, and it was a great experience! The shrimp was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and there was a generous portion. The crab legs were also flavorful and fresh. While the initial serving wasn’t as plentiful as the shrimp, we ordered an extra serving (there is an additional charge), and it was more than enough for us.The dessert was the perfect way to end the meal—absolutely fantastic! On top of the great food, the service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit.One of our favorite things about this restaurant is how incredibly pet-friendly it is. They offer outdoor seating, making it easy to bring your four-legged family members along, and they even have a Pup Meal on the menu featuring ground hamburger and chicken just for dogs. It’s such a thoughtful touch that really sets them apart.We’re already looking forward to coming back to try the specials on other nights. If you’re in the Lake Conroe area and looking for great food, outstanding service, and a place that truly welcomes both you and your pup, Conroe Lake House Restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

My friend and I went for the first time last night. I was excited to relax and have a nice dinner. It is extremely loud in the restaurant we had to scream to talk. Between the music and people it was to much.Our waitress was awful. She did not fill our drinks at all. My friends cup sat empty through dinner. She had a terrible attitude. The food was ok. I got the chicken tacos and liked them. But here was the final straw. After dinner we sat there for 20 minutes and never got a check, I reached for a paper towel and there was a cockroach on the table. A waiter killed it and squished it all over the table and didnt clean the table. My friend called over a manager and he excused it. They must be filthy if roaches are crawling on the tables. We will never ever go back!

Gave me shrimp tacos with 3 shrimps per taco. Terrible flour tortilla as well. Also didn’t add the pineapple slaw that is listed because "they were out" but forgot to mention it before bringing them. Saddest tacos I have ever eaten..

I usually don’t write reviews unless the place is terrible, so this met the criteria. The shrimp tacos had a store bought tortilla with 3 small shrimp and two slices of onions. Ridiculous. The fried fish was slight raw. I wish I took a picture, but my husband was too hungry to send it back.

Bar food. Reasonable price. Great views.Update 7/18/26.Wow, my wife and I, and my in-laws have been eating here regularly for a year. Especially Wed, with music bingo. The steaks are great.HOWEVERWe took my niece here for her birthday last night. It was horrendous. The beer was warm to hot, thats how it started. We ordered chips, salsa and queso. They served marinara (see photo) as salsa. I told the waitress, she told me it was a new recipe. Hmmm, salsa with oregano, no onions, no jalapeños or chili's, no cilantro. And it tastes like Ragu. I know the difference between salsa and marinara. The manager "Dren or Wren" came out apologized, yet said it was salsa. The final kick to the keester was the shrimp boil platter. It was awesome BUT no red cocktail sauce. I didnt ask for any because no telling what kind of BS they would have brought out. Party of 8. Service was meh.....They will get 1 more chance, maybe it was an off night. But, it was Fing way off. It sucked. From 3 star to 2, and thats lenient.

I recently dined at Conroe Lake House and had a very pleasant experience. The food was tasty, though a bit spicier than I’d like—I'm not a fan of heat, so it was a little much for me. The Key Lime Martini stood out as excellent, perfectly balanced and refreshing.The service was a highlight: the waitstaff were attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout the meal. We chose a table outdoors, and a gentle lake breeze kept us cool and added a relaxing backdrop to the evening.Overall, Conroe Lake House offers solid food, a standout cocktail, and great hospitality in a lovely lakeside setting. It’s a good spot for a relaxed dinner, especially if you enjoy dining al fresco.

Be advised the the menu change SUCKS !!!as of 07/15/2026 They jacked up their prices WAY up and took the best DEALS away. 13 bucks for 3 egg rolls? Ive never had an egg worth over 4 bucks..Highly disappointed, won't be returning. Its a shame because before today I was a regular..

We have been coming here for two years. It had always been amazing! Love the atmosphere!We also started playing bingo every Wednesday night, but due to prior engagements we missed four weeks. We come back, the whole menu has changed. What happened to the flatbread pizza, the skillet cookie, the sampler platter, the other tacos that they had on the menu, etc. I tried something new tonight, not a fan! Was expecting what I was used to. And on top of that,Bingo has been changed also. I will still come for the ambiance and the beers. Screw the food and the bingo.Too many other places that serve much better food! But you can’t screw up a beer so I will continue to come here for that and the lake.

The service was amazing!!! Our waitress is believe named Ellie was super attentive and great!!!! Made our evening great! It was warm inside but oh well. The food was the only huge downside. The mozzarella sticks were huge and great but the burgers were all dry and unseasoned and flavorless. All 4 of us got a different burger and all said the same thing sadly. We wanted to love it but just couldn't. The service was the only saver here.

Needs better umbrella's for shade over tables near water and FANS for those tables as well. Love the fact we can bring TRAINED dogs.
