Fass Brewing produces beers of the highest quality with respect for tradition and a spark of creativity. These beers are expertly served out of our timeless taproom with reverence for the people who shaped our present.

With formal education and on-the-job training at breweries big and small, our brewers have the knowledge and skill to create technically sound examples of traditional styles, as well as modern and radical experimental beers. Our locally manufactured 5-barrel brewhouse gives us the ability to try new things and refine our craft.

The Fass Brewing Taproom

The Fass taproom is unlike any other. Featuring beautiful custom millwork and timeless design, the interior invokes the class and history of the Gentry Building that houses it. Our beers are served directly from 5-barrel serving tanks behind the bar, which makes for the freshest beer possible. All of this results in a unique and exceptional beer drinking experience.

The Gentry Building

Our brewery and taproom is located inside of the historic Gentry Building. After the fire of February 1911, the City of Conroe mandated that all new buildings must be constructed with solid brick. The Gentry Building was constructed that Fall, making it the first to be built after the fire and the oldest building in Downtown Conroe.

It has since housed several occupants including the Farmers and Merchants Bank, the Carnes Mercantile, and in 1929, the Gentry Men’s Clothing Store. Elvis Presley purchased sport shirts in the store in August 1955 and U.S. Senator Lyndon Baines Johnson visited his friend Thomas Earl Gentry in the building in the early 1950s.

Stylish brewery.Service and atmosphere:We received good service. The bartender was friendly and helpful.The brewery looks cool inside. It has very nice decor and ambiance.Drinks:They offer beer and wine. Beer selection was good. I did enjoy the ale. It was balanced and not too hoppy.You can order some food here too.Pricing:$$ - standard drink prices.

Went in yesterday. There was one bartender, maybe 20 people, several open tables and barstools. After waiting 10 minutes at the bar while trying to get a beer I just left. The bartender was pouring beer and talking to what seemed to be regulars. So I waited. After she was done she went to the other side of the bar and started picking up pizza trays and cleaning glasses. She 100% new I was standing there. I could not get her to acknowledge me, so I left. Wont be back.Im fairly sure this was on a Sunday.

Love the location, felt like a small dive bar. Limited parking, good beer, ok food. Cheese pizza was thin like personal size$14, pretzel was burnt not worth the $7 cheese dip taste like it was canned. They have St.Arnolds root beer. Staff was super friendly and nice 🍻

The beer is one of my favorites. The Most Italian style pils was delightful. Very happy and easy to drink. The variety is fantastic. You get four 16 oz pours $14. Highly recommend a flight. The decorations and vibe is very eclectic and Homie. Very clean and the service is fantastic. Food options are pizza and pretzel

Don't get what all the hype is about the place. Did a flight. Every beer was similar and on the flat side. Service was focused on the group of friend that were there and not much on the other customers. Mediocre at best. Nice decor tho

Took a stroll downtown Conroe this past Saturday for the first time and I have to say the downtown area is quite neat. The historic buildings look very nice and then I walked into this great brewery! This place was real chill and relaxing. It wasn’t crowded whatsoever. The inside had a modern twist but still an old vibe that was kept up 🤌🏽 a very nice touch and as far as the beer goes very tasty, honestly, very unique in its own way, and the guy that was serving us was very informational on what goes into the beer how its brewed and what style they’re going with and even made a specialized beer with adding extra ingredients, I thought it was very cool and I would have to say overall this place, the atmosphere is a 10 out of 10 I can definitely see myself coming back to this brewery! 🍻

Used to frequent Fass because of beer variety (especially dark beers). For the last 6 weeks, staff has changed and beer is not as good. Will be finding another brewery for a while.
