The resort staff were extremely friendly and professional, and the rooms were very clean. Laid back atmosphere with excellent customer service! I want to specifically commend John, Tom, and Patrick who were staffing the upstairs bar on the night of 7/21. They had an extremely busy night with a challenging crowd, and numerous shared open tabs. They remained professional, joked with the customers, and were extremely efficient behind the bar. Their Customer Service was exemplary and they made each customer feel like a priority. Well done gentlemen!

For $500 a night the room should have been perfection. But, the inadequate air conditioner, broken phone, too few towels, very low shower water pressure, empty body wash container and broken elevator made us regret choosing this place. The air-conditioning in the hallways was also very poor.It was probably very nice when new, but it's not well maintained or managed any longer.Strive harder, management.

The rooms smelled like a mixture of mold and sewage. We insisted they change the rooms but only one of the new rooms smelled any better. The rooms were also in need of new paint and some deep cleaning. We were there for 5 days and complained several times but they NEVER came and took out the garbage, or changed the linens! They offered a couple hundred dollars off of our bill at the end (a bill well over $5,000.00) but personally I would have rather have had decent service. I understand that the holiday weekend was busy but if you are supposed to be a 4star resort then you had all year to plan for additional crowds! This place was a nightmare and the weather did NOT help! It was blistering hot and 80% humidity!! Unbearable. No fun.

Everything was really great...no complaints..a suggestion...serve Gatorade or Powerade regular and zero sugar....Texas heat demands it...and healthy Texans require it

I had an outstanding experience at the License to Chill Bar, and I want to recognize John and Holden for their exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, they were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure we always had what we needed, checked in on us without being intrusive, and created such a fun, relaxing atmosphere.Their professionalism, positive attitudes, and attention to detail truly stood out and made our visit even more enjoyable. It’s clear they take pride in providing excellent customer service, and it made a lasting impression.Thank you, John and Holden, for going above and beyond. You are a tremendous asset to the License to Chill Bar, and I look forward to seeing you again on our next visit!

This place is not worth it at all, very overpriced their fees are ridiculous as the rooms are not clean. When we arrived there was still stuff from previous guest in the room. The toilet just kept running nobody every came to fix itDrinks are over priced and the food at both restaurants was as basic as it could be. No flavor I paid 56 dollars for overcooked chicken. Don’t bother complaining unless you’re the RIGHT COLOR as they only seem to want to cater to a certain color.Not enough attractions for the overall price of this place. The hallways smell like pet urineThe best meal I had was their pizza

Jon and Holden at the License & Chill Bar made my birthday celebration even more special! We stopped by close to closing time, and even though they were getting ready to end their shift, they welcomed us with smiles and never made us feel rushed.They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their amazing customer service and genuine kindness turned a simple stop at the bar into one of the highlights of my birthday. Thank you both for helping make my celebration so memorable. Margaritaville is lucky to have you. I can’t wait to come back!

It was a nice trip overall, the rooms both smelled a little but I’m assuming it’s bc they allow animals. Didn’t love the food options but overall a fun trip.

I was headed to the San Antonio area when I learned that there had been severe flooding, resulting in my reservation being canceled. I decided to divert and book a weekend at Lake Conroe’s Margaritaville.After checking in, I headed to the pool area, which features a swim-up bar. Other customers informed me that the line was faster at the upstairs bar, so I exited the pool and waited at the walk-up bar for 40 minutes before receiving my first drink. I overheard another customer mention that they had paid for a cabana with service but had received no attention. The staff seemed stressed throughout the park.For dinner, we went to the License to Chill Bar. Initially, we were seated outdoors, but after some time passed without service, we moved to the bar to get attention. While enjoying our delicious food, someone approached to order another drink and was told to bring back their glass. The bartender insisted they needed the glass back to avoid running out of them. The customer, confused, pointed out that there should be a system in place for this. However, the bartender continued to insist they go retrieve their glass in order to get another drink. The entire situation was quite embarrassing.The only staff member who seemed happy to be working was the valet. For the price, the service was nowhere near what you would expect. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re expecting resort-style service.
