Founded in 1996, Papa’s on the Lake is the destination on Lake Conroe for entertainment and drinks! Accessible by land or sea, they feature an adult-only pool, outdoor sand volleyball, pool tables and more. We feature live bands every weekend during the summer and HD TV’s to cheer on all your favorite sport teams! Stop on by for a beer or a burger and see what we are all about!

Papa’s on the Lake offers guests a casual and laid-back atmosphere with stunning views of Lake Conroe. The establishment has been a beloved local destination for over 35 years, serving up classic American fare with a Southern flair.

They are famous for its seafood, which is caught fresh from the lake and Gulf of Mexico, and served in a variety of dishes such as seafood gumbo, shrimp scampi, and crab cakes. They also offer a wide range of other options, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, and steaks, so there is something for everyone.

I decided to take the motorcycle for a long ride from Crosby all the way to Papa's on the lake in Conroe because one of my friends mentioned Papa's on the lake was really good so I decided to swing in and grab some buffalo grilled chicken sandwich with seasoned fries and a Sprite and let me tell you that was a trip worth taking it was completely Bomb Diggity. I plan on doing it again very very soon. The atmosphere was fantastic the only downside there was no AC but it is to be expected when it's an Open Door atmosphere and it's right on the lake. The Waitresses are nice the service is great and there's plenty of parking.

Was great atmosphere, however service was way below par. Long time between getting drinks and it wasn’t that busy. Ordered food and that was slow! Again not that busy! I’m normally a very good tipper, however this service crew did not get anything! They even switched servers but again lots of time between checking on us.We love this place however if service continues like this we will go elsewhere.Monty’s, Tailgators, lake house, McDaniels!To many options for good service!Mike

Good as usual. I don't expect much here and they always live up to expectations. If you have different expectations, you should rethink your life. Perfect spot on the lake for drinks, pool, and a pool.

Great place to go except for the bartender and manager. Bartender decided my girlfriends ID was fake gave no reason for it and after asking multiple times why said it was because she has blue eyes and 5’11. (She’s both) gave no further assistance to let us prove it. Manager came out said the same thing and after asking how to prove it said she’d be right back. Never came back wasted more of our time and 15 minutes later we asked and they said they aren’t serving us. BEWARE bartender has an attitude problem.

Enjoyed the views of the lake and the drinks were wonderful! Only down side was the photographer who was harassing all of the customers. Watched multiple tables get interrupted and tricked into a “free photo” then bullied into purchasing a $20 frame.. leave the customers alone… that honestly ruined our first visit here

Horrible service. They only had two menus for 6 of us. That was fine, but the server did not put in 4 out of the 6 of our orders and we did not know until the 2 got their food and then other servers came by. Not to mention those orders took way too long. Will not go here again.

Waited about 20 minutes and no one came to offer a drink or menu the waitress saws and just kept walking past us horrible service we walked out

"This spot has an incredible atmosphere! The energy is vibrant, the decor is fantastic, and it is the perfect place to hang out with friends. We ordered the [Insert Food, e.g., burgers] and a round of drinks, and everything was delicious. The bartenders were fast and friendly, even though the place was packed. Definitely my new go-to spot!"
